St Pancras International is London's Eurostar terminal, with direct trains to Paris, Brussels, Lille, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Unlike a domestic train, a Eurostar journey from London includes security and border checks before you board, so you need to arrive well before departure.

Leaving London by Eurostar
Eurostar's advice for departures from London is to arrive 75 to 90 minutes before departure in Standard and Plus, and about 30 minutes before in Premier. Ticket checks close 30 minutes before departure for Standard and Plus, and 15 minutes before for Premier, and late passengers are not allowed through. Always use the arrival time shown on your ticket.
All the checks happen in London before you board: tickets, security screening and French border control. That is why you can simply walk off the train when you arrive.
The EU Entry/Exit System
If you are not an EU citizen, including British passport holders, you now register in the EU's Entry/Exit System (EES) at St Pancras before travelling. You scan your passport and have your fingerprints and photo taken at a kiosk, every time you travel. Eurostar includes this time in the arrival time shown on your ticket, so arrive at that time and not just before the gates close.
Getting to St Pancras with luggage
St Pancras is well connected by Underground, but the interchange is large, and the Eurostar terminal is at the far end of the station. With suitcases, children or an early train, a car to the station door is often simpler. Tell us your train time and we will set the pickup to get you there at the time on your ticket, with a margin for traffic around King's Cross.
Arriving in London by Eurostar
Because border checks happen before departure, you leave the train and walk straight out. Allow about 10 to 15 minutes from the platform to the street, longer with a lot of luggage. Our drivers meet passengers at the Pancras Road exit (postcode N1C 4QP), and we track your train. Station pickups include 30 minutes of free waiting.
Our tips
- Download your ticket close to your travel date so it shows the latest arrival time.
- Avoid booking a tight connection from an airport to a Eurostar. Allow plenty of time for immigration and baggage.
- Travelling with a lot of luggage? Tell us when you book so we send a vehicle with space for it.
