Harrow on the Hill and its suburbs
Harrow on the Hill is the borough's historic heart. Harrow School, founded under a royal charter in 1572, occupies much of the hilltop, and St Mary's Church at the summit has one of the best views in west London. The steep, winding streets still feel like a village.

Getting in and out
The Metropolitan line serves Harrow-on-the-Hill and Pinner, the Jubilee line ends at Stanmore, and Harrow & Wealdstone has Bakerloo, Overground and mainline trains to Euston. The A40, A404 and A41 are the main roads, with the M1 and M25 close by.
Airport transfers from Harrow
Heathrow is usually the most convenient airport, often reached via the A312 or A40. Luton is also well placed via the M1 or A41 and M25. Stansted and Gatwick are longer journeys around the M25.
